Review of Meghna

meghna

Meghna is the story of a young girl who is feisty, short tempered and madly in love with her brother’s best friend, Rahul. She lost her father when she was very young and then at the age of sixteen she lost her mother too. Her brother Sanjay brought her up and looked after her. Her bhabi, Reema loves her like her own little sister. Meghan is pampered and loved extremely by her sweet and caring family. She is all grown up now but never had a relationship as she is still not over her adolescence infatuation for Rahul. So when after a gap of eight years Rahul returns back to India, she feels she has a chance to make him fall in love with her. The problem is she is too shy around her Rahul, she just can’t express her feelings to him. Her own family is aware of her feelings for Rahul and they do want them to get settled down. But Rahul is afraid of commitment as he has seen his own parents marriage failing in front of his eyes. But at the same time he is attracted to Meghna immensely. Now it’s up to two of them to express their feelings to each other and take their relationship forward.

Review: It’s a beautifully written story with great specifications given to the characters and the description around them. I loved the little fights that Rahul and Meghna had. Some of them actually made me laugh. But what I loved most about the book is its storyline. There are lots of up and downs and author always keeps you on your toes. Though some of you might say that it’s just another love story but let me tell you. It’s not, there is a lot to it other than romance. I would definitely recommend this book to all.
